Announcements and Important Events
The Ligonier Valley boys track and field team lost to Deer Lakes 90-60 in their first WPIAL track meet of the year. Isaac Piper started off with winning the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.70, where he set a personal record. Miles Higgens had a great meet winning the javelin with a throw of 157 feet while also winning the triple jump with a distance of 35 feet 3.5 inches. Wesley Smykal racked up a first place finish in the high jump and two second place finishes in the mile and 800 meter. Ligonier Valley swept the pole vault event. Jon Manges won the event at 11 feet followed by Chris Saversky at 10 feet and Khorter Drury at 9 feet. Lastly, the 4X1 relay team won with a time of 47.1. The team consisted of Bjorn Sigurdsson, Joey Kondisko, Ivan Wieczorek and Jon Manges.
Their next meet will be at the United Invitational on April 10th.
